Telrad Networks Brings PBT to the Customer Edge
Introduces TAG-12
Carrier Ethernet Demarcation CPE

Lod, Israel - Tuesday, June 10, 2008 - Telrad Networks, a developer of carrier-grade
telecommunications equipment, introduced today the TAG-12 Carrier Ethernet
Demarcation device.
TAG12 is a metro Ethernet carrier-class Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) unit for
demarcation device. The system allows intelligent and cost effective FE and GbE
optical service demarcation. Carrier Ethernet demarcation devices answer service
provider's requirements for end-to-end management of Ethernet services and
subscribers.
The TAG-12 is appropriate for business, mobile backhaul for 4G and MTU applications,
allowing multiple services on one device. The CPE provides simple, advanced and
PBB-TE demarcation abilities. The system is fully scalable, and the
multiple-protocol demarcation abilities allow service providers to protect their
investment in the TAG-12 product.
"Customers want a complete solution, so we provide Ethernet over PDH, Pseudowire,
and Ethernet demarcation," said Itshak Aisner, VP Product Management of Telrad
Networks. "Using a network processor as the basis, we provide a unified form factor
to provide a wide range of configurations for Tier 1 and Tier 2 vendors looking for
fast time to market and reduced risk, as they enter the Carrier Ethernet market. We
provide technology that can support both PBT and MPLS deployments, covering both
today\'s needs and future network evolution."
Telrad is the first vendor to provide PBT all the way to the customer edge. Using a
PBT-to-the-edge architecture, operators can lower costs and provide a higher level
of granularity for Service Level Agreements, as well as ensuring Quality of Service.
At the same time, the series of CPEs for demarcation and Pseudowire reduce support
costs, by allowing operators to pinpoint faults.
Telrad Networks will be exhibiting the TAG 12 at NXTcomm08, June 16-19 at the Las
Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, at booth SU5904. To reserve an appointment,
